Lost/Found tells the story of Coronavirus. It is dedicated to the people we loved and lost during these months, their stories told by their families so that their names live on.
It tells of the moments that have gone forever but also of discoveries made.
Together these stories, of loss and discovery, will create a memorial to these unprecedented times.
During the coronavirus pandemic, our lives have changed.
For those who have lost a family member, a friend, a neighbour during this time, that change will last forever. Many have said goodbye without the traditional closure of a funeral. Those bereaved haven't been able to hold family close while they grieve, nor meet and swap stories of the person they love, to play their favourite music or hear the poetry or psalms read out loud.
Not all had coronavirus. You can read about the lives they lived, the people they loved – and were loved by – and the loss that is felt now they are no longer with us.
The families are then working with the creative community to create a memorial of music, art and craft that will ensure the lives lost during Coronavirus will never be forgotten. For more information on that, please click here.
Other losses are smaller, but still impact lives. A lost day - a wedding, a graduation, a reunion. A cafe that knew just how you liked your tea, a shop.
Some have found light in these difficult times; a new friendship, an undiscovered talent, a new walk near their home.
Lost/Found has sought these stories from across Perth and Kinross and Scotland, bringning them together to produce a picture of a pandemic to ensure that we never forget the names, place and times featured in this website.
